Embodying Wild Love
Lindsey Stillwell (she/they) is a First Nations Pleasure Activist, Storyteller, and Visionary Performing Artist, passionate about creating a shame-free society of self-responsible individuals who desire to create freedom in all areas of life by shedding shame, cultivating pleasure, and living from the Love that you are. She lives from the belief that connection to our eros is an essential part of creating sustainable social change.
Lindsey believes that at the core of our humanity is the seed of Love. Unafraid of the taboos and 'shadows' of life, Lindsey works directly in the realms of sex & eros, relationships & intimacy, shame & guilt, and spirituality & ecology from an Indigenous perspective. They are passionate about embracing what it is to be fully human in order to activate that within us that is more than human.
Bridging the divide between their colonial and Native American ancestors, Lindsey integrates Indigenous ways of being into their performance art, initiatives, and programs, reminding leaders how to live in deep connection and presence with Self, Earth and Others. Lindsey weaves together the alchemy of transformation, artistry, and ritual throughout their creative endeavours and transformational offerings.
With over 15 years of experience working in the non-profit and humanitarian aid sector, Lindsey is well-versed in the trauma, emotional & financial poverty, and desperation for connection faced globally. They have supported and advocated for single mothers in India, sex workers in Germany and the Czech Republic, children with disabilities in West Africa, women leaving domestic violence in Australia, and orphans in Mexico.
Their professional work has seen them advocate for youth experiencing homelessness and families fleeing domestic violence in outback Darwin, adults experiencing mental ill-health in the urban cityscape of Melbourne, and supporting a young woman with an intellectual disability in the beautiful Blue Mountains outside Sydney, as well as many other 1:1 clients in-person and online throughout Australia and Turtle Island (the US).
Raised as the middle of 12 children in a conservative Christian family, they have had to find their own way in life as an artist and queer woman. Lindsey has lived through numerous accounts of sexual abuse and assault, as well as spiritual abuse, and knows the very real impact of trauma.
They have created two independent theatre productions both touching on themes of transforming trauma and self-liberation. As a multi-disciplinary artist, Lindsey has always used art as a vehicle for self-expression, storytelling, and empowerment.
Lindsey is the first among their siblings to have completed a graduate-level program, completing her Graduate Diploma in Therapeutic Arts Practice in 2015. Since that time they have been building their own business and have offered various self-development and therapeutic programs, massage and trauma-informed bodywork, emotional clearing, etc. Lindsey has also self-published 2 e-books and is currently writing their latest book on re-wilding love and creating freedom in relationships.
A powerhouse of self-initiative and passionate about creating positive change, Lindsey has continued to shine in their gifts since the birth of their child and becoming a solo parent in September 2020. They are committed to creating a global legacy of shameless self-expression, freedom in relationships and wild love.
